Shannon Little

Senior Pastor, Rev. Shannon D. Little, Jr., born in Nashville, Tenn. His family moved to Dallas in 1974 as he was a junior in high school at Dallas Carter. He began his work and ministry in Texas. Following a Bachelor of Business degree from Texas Southern University in 1980, he started his ministry receiving his license to preach the gospel from Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, by Rev. Dr. Joe Samuel Ratliff on April 26, 1989. He received his Masters Degree in Theology from Houston Graduate School of Theology in 1995 and he also was ordained at Holy Trinity Baptist Church on May 14, 1995 under Pastor D. Calles Ward. He later served as Pastor of Family Ministries on staff at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church under Rev. Dr. Ameal Jones from 1995-1997. He and his wife, Rose Little, began to facilitate Marriage Couple’s Retreat/seminars all over North and Southern Texas areas from 1995-2018.  He later relocated to Dallas, TX and was called as Asst. Pastor at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church on staff under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Stephen C. Nash in 1997-2002. He was an Instructor for the Northwestern District Congress in Dallas. He served in premarital counseling and Christian Counseling, facilitated seminars and classes on marriage, parenting, and youth development. In April of 2002, Rev. Little organized and Pastored “Home of Christ Bible Fellowship” for 13 years. He and his family returned to the Houston area in 2020 and reside in Conroe. Rev. Little is in the process of completing the requirements to become a Commissioned Minister with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest Region. He is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, Member of Christian Counsellors of Texas Inc, Past Chairman of Dallas-Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Certified Facilitator of Prepare/Enrich, Member of the Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (A.C.M.E.) Rev. Little taught High School and Middle school in Dallas ISD for 20 years. He has now been an educator in Spring ISD for the last 2 years.

He is married to Rose Mary Little and they have 5 children: Herman, Justin, Jason, Steven and Charmaine. They also are proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren.
